Day 1: July 25th, 2011

Well it's our first full day and it's pouring down rain outside. Sounds so nice to hear the rain again. At home (Elmira) it hasn't rained in over 3 weeks. Then again I have been in Philadelphia since June 6th so I've been trying to survive the high heat and humidity. 

I must say, it's really tempting to see the lake all day every day and not have been allowed time to explore it. I can see the kayaks out of my window and the stairwell that leads off our deck points directly at them. The fact that it's thundering outside makes going out on the water a whole lot less tempting. Hopefully I'll get some free time to go explore soon. The thought of waking up early to go out doesn't exactly appeal to me. I love my sleep. 


Our schedule is very packed with information and activities. The weather for the remainder of the week looks beautiful. Can't wait to get outside and explore some more. It is beautiful up here!
